Costa Brazil has opened its first permanent flagship at Hudson Yards in New York. The new space combines luxury beauty, Brazilian design and immersive wellness experiences.
Costa Brazil has officially opened its first permanent New York flagship at Hudson Yards, marking a major milestone for the luxury beauty and lifestyle brand founded by former Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa. The boutique opened in May 2026 at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards in Manhattan.
The new space reflects Costa’s Brazilian heritage and minimalist design philosophy, combining beauty retail with cultural storytelling. Designed in collaboration with creative partner Alexander May, the interior features stained black wood, concrete textures, natural finishes and a curated selection of books, furniture and personal objects sourced from Costa’s Long Island home.
Rather than functioning as a traditional beauty counter, the flagship was conceived as a slower, more immersive environment. Visitors can explore the complete Costa Brazil collection across skincare, haircare, fragrance, body care and home products. The store also introduces two exclusive launches: the Breu Soap Bar and handcrafted Breu Incense, both inspired by sensory rituals rooted in the Brazilian rainforest.
The opening comes at a significant moment for Hudson Yards, which continues expanding its luxury retail presence in New York. Since opening in 2019, the development has evolved into one of Manhattan’s busiest shopping and lifestyle destinations, housing brands such as Dior, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co.
For Costa Brazil, the flagship represents more than retail expansion. The brand plans to host monthly cultural programming inside the store, including artist conversations, rotating installations featuring Brazilian furniture designers and collaborations with galleries and creatives.
Francisco Costa launched Costa Brazil in 2018 after leaving Calvin Klein, where he served as women’s creative director for more than a decade. The brand quickly gained attention for combining luxury beauty with sustainability, using responsibly sourced ingredients from Brazil while emphasizing environmental preservation and wellness rituals.
The Hudson Yards flagship signals a broader shift in luxury retail, where brands are increasingly prioritizing atmosphere, experience and community over transactional shopping. In a district known for large-scale commercial spectacle, Costa Brazil offers something more intimate: a quiet, design-driven space centered on ritual, nature and emotional connection.
