Bottega Veneta’s new Alta collection brings together ten fragrances inspired by Italian craftsmanship and global influences. Here’s everything to know about the luxury house’s most ambitious scent launch to date.

Bottega Veneta is taking its fragrance portfolio in a new direction with the launch of Alta, a collection of ten perfumes that blends the house’s Italian roots with ingredients sourced from around the world. Officially launched on June 4, 2026, the collection is now available through Bottega Veneta boutiques and fragrance channels, introducing a fresh chapter for the luxury brand under creative director Louise Trotter. Named after the Italian word for “high,” Alta is built around the idea of connection, pairing ingredients from different cultures and regions to create scents that feel both familiar and unexpected. Much like the brand’s celebrated leather goods, the fragrances place craftsmanship at the center of the experience, proving that Bottega Veneta’s signature sense of chic extends well beyond fashion.

At the heart of the collection is what the brand calls the “Intrecciato Duo” concept, a fragrance philosophy inspired by the woven craftsmanship of its iconic Intrecciato technique. Every scent combines an Italian ingredient with a note from another part of the world, creating a dialogue between places, traditions, and raw materials. Among the fragrances are Balliamo, which pairs Italian white fig with American cedarwood, Crepuscolo, a sophisticated mix of Italian sea salt and South Asian oud, Always Now, which blends Italian basil with Madagascan bourbon essence, and Montebello, where vibrant blood orange meets North African neroli. The collection also includes Bare Morning, built around a soft sandalwood skin accord, Slow Rise, which combines rose and clary sage, Velvet Steps, featuring an Italian plum accord, and Moment After, another addition to the lineup that continues the collection’s theme of unexpected ingredient pairings. Together, the fragrances offer a range of moods, from fresh and luminous to deeper, more enveloping compositions.

Rather than chasing trends or relying on overpowering formulas, Alta embraces a more personal style of perfumery. These are scents designed to evolve slowly throughout the day, revealing different facets as they settle on the skin. That understated approach feels perfectly aligned with Bottega Veneta’s broader identity, which has long favored quiet luxury over excess. The fragrances invite wearers to discover details gradually, whether it is the brightness of citrus notes, the warmth of woods, or the subtle contrast created by ingredients sourced from opposite sides of the globe. Each perfume tells its own story, but collectively they reflect a shared appreciation for artistry, travel, and cultural exchange.

The collection’s packaging reinforces that same attention to detail. Every fragrance is housed in a recycled glass bottle engraved with the house’s signature Intrecciato weave, instantly connecting the scents to Bottega Veneta’s design heritage. Wooden caps and gold-toned accents add warmth and refinement, while subtle references to Venice pay tribute to the brand’s Italian origins. Available in both full-size and travel-friendly formats, the bottles are designed to be as beautiful to display as they are to wear. With its thoughtful ingredient pairings, elevated presentation, and focus on craftsmanship, Alta feels like a natural extension of the Bottega Veneta universe, offering fragrance lovers a collection that is sophisticated, modern, and effortlessly chic without ever feeling overly complicated.
