Celine’s Spring 2026 collection under Michael Rider unfolded in the open air of Parc de Saint-Cloud, creating a breezy, relaxed atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the season. Rider’s sophomore show leaned into the foundations he established in his debut, drawing from the best elements of the Hedi Slimane and Phoebe Philo eras while infusing his own perspective as an American with years of experience at Polo Ralph Lauren. The result was a collection that felt both familiar and refreshingly modern.

Mannish jackets with apple-core shaping paired with skinny jeans created a sleek and sophisticated silhouette, while plays on tuxedo dressing added a refined, contemporary touch. Preppy staples like oversized polo and rugby shirts in fluid silks brought ease and movement, while scarf-like collars spilling from coats and jackets added a subtle, bohemian flourish. Accessories and jewelry maintained a relaxed sensibility, and handbags and leather coats were carried with an offhand elegance that enhanced the collection’s approachable feel.

Feminine silhouettes introduced a playful counterpoint, with baby-doll dresses in soigne boucle and psychedelic floral patterns that added charm and texture. The use of logo bicycle helmets reflected the city’s cycling culture, nodding to the stylish, youthful energy permeating Paris streets. Shoes remained practical, emphasizing the collection’s effortless, everyday chic.

The menswear segment of the show held its own, with thoughtful tailoring and layered looks that balanced formality and freedom. Rider’s approach blurred the lines between coed dressing, creating pieces that felt cohesive yet individually expressive.

While the show did not carry the same electric energy as Rider’s debut, it communicated a clear sense of direction for Celine. Fresh air, subtle wit, and a balance of structure and ease defined the collection, signaling that Rider is shaping a new chapter for the house while honoring its heritage.
