Schiaparelli's Fall 2026 Couture collection felt like stepping into another world. Daniel Roseberry has a way of making couture feel emotional rather than theatrical, and this season was no different. Every look invited you to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the incredible level of thought behind every silhouette, texture, and finish.
This collection explored the mystery of the sea through Roseberry's surrealist lens. Sculptural gowns echoed shells and coral formations, while dramatic silhouettes flowed with a softness that made them feel almost weightless. There was a beautiful balance between structure and movement, proving that couture can feel powerful without becoming overwhelming.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the collection was Roseberry's exploration of material. Sculptural corsets and boleros were crafted from sheets of silicone that mimicked the look of skin, giving the collection an almost otherworldly quality. Alongside shimmering embroidery, preserved flowers, shells, and metallic finishes, these unexpected materials blurred the line between couture and sculpture, making every look feel like a discovery. What I kept coming back to were the sculptural silicone corsets. They looked almost unreal, somewhere between skin, sculpture, and armor. Combined with preserved flowers, shells, and luminous embellishments, they gave the collection an eerie beauty that felt unlike anything else shown this couture season.
Another element that felt refreshing this season was the introduction of softer pastel tones. Powder blues, pale blush, buttery yellow, and muted mint brought a lighter mood to the runway, creating a beautiful contrast against Schiaparelli's signature sculptural silhouettes and metallic embellishments. While Roseberry is no stranger to bold color, these delicate shades felt like a fresh direction for the house, softening the collection without losing any of its dramatic impact.
What I appreciated most is that Roseberry never loses sight of the woman wearing these clothes. Even the most sculptural gowns still feel remarkably elegant, allowing personality to come through rather than disappearing beneath the craftsmanship. That balance is what continues to make Schiaparelli one of the most exciting couture houses today.
Among all the looks, below are the ones that stood out as our favorites, best capturing the imagination, artistry, and vision of the collection.
