For three years they waited for a chance at a new life. In 1990 Canada welcomed him and his family; they settled in Calgary and that boy who sketched faces and painted with a humble pencil quietly developed a refined eye for color and form.

Drawn first to hairstyling after high school, Vanngo enrolled in a hairdressing course and worked in a salon, not yet knowing the world of makeup artistry could become his calling.
