Get Ready for Hung Vanngo Beauty at Sephora
Makeup artist Hung Vanngo
Hung Vanngo, the celebrity makeup artist known for his glowing red carpet looks, is bringing his signature artistry to Sephora with the launch of his first makeup line.
Hung Vanngo has always been one of those artists whose work you can recognize instantly. There is a balance in the way he plays with light and color, the way a lip or an eye carries just enough intensity without ever overwhelming the face. His clients, from Selena Gomez to Bella Hadid, walk red carpets looking not only beautiful but unforgettable. This September, that signature touch moves into a new form. Hung Vanngo Beauty arrives at Sephora on the 8th, and the collection feels like a natural extension of his artistry rather than a passing venture.

Hung Vanngo began his life in Vietnam and at six years old, he and his siblings escaped under harrowing circumstances to a refugee camp in Thailand. For three years they waited for a chance at a new life. In 1990 Canada welcomed him and his family; they settled in Calgary and that boy who sketched faces and painted with a humble pencil quietly developed a refined eye for color and form.
Drawn first to hairstyling after high school, Vanngo enrolled in a hairdressing course and worked in a salon, not yet knowing the world of makeup artistry could become his calling. Yet his fascination with faces never left him. He moved to Toronto around 2003; seeking opportunities in photoshoots and campaigns where he could work as both hairstylist and makeup artist.
In 2006 he was granted an O-1 visa for individuals with extraordinary ability, and New York welcomed him. Editors and photographers took notice of his glowy, skin-forward technique. Soon his work appeared in Allure, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Italian Vogue, ELLE and more. His roster of collaborators reads like the Hall of Fame of fashion, Mert & Marcus, Craig McDean, Ellen von Unwerth, Patrick Demarchelier and many more. And his celebrity clientele, from Selena Gomez to Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid to Jennifer Lopez allowed his signature aesthetic of glowing skin and a swipe of bold color to become instantly recognizable.
His approach, defined by glowy skin and the belief that makeup should enhance rather than conceal, made his work instantly recognizable. In 2017 he launched his YouTube channel, opening up his techniques to a wider audience through tutorials that revealed both his artistry and philosophy. The channel became a way for him to connect directly with beauty lovers, translating high fashion and celebrity looks into lessons anyone could learn from.

Now his collection reflects this thoughtful approach. The ‘Creamy Matte Lipstick’ comes in eighteen shades, anchored by ‘Vanngo Red,’ a vibrant red designed to flatter a wide range of complexions. It is paired with the ‘Accentuating Longwear Lip Liner’ for definition. There are two eyeliners, one a longwear formula for precision and the other a soft velvet kohl made for smudging and smoky effects. The blush and bronzer powders warm the complexion with a diffused finish that feels modern and natural. Eight eyeshadow palettes complete the launch, each offering matte, satin, and metallic textures that blend with ease. Every product feels designed with both the artist and the everyday wearer in mind.

When the products launch in September, they will no doubt find their place in vanities everywhere. Yet what makes this moment distinct is not only the formulas or the shade range. It is the fact that Vanngo has built a career on patience, balance, and artistry, and he has now translated those values into a collection meant for anyone who loves makeup. Hung Vanngo Beauty feels less like a typical brand debut and more like the opening chapter of something lasting, crafted with quiet confidence and clear intention.
